You may have recently purchased a new pickup truck or are in the market to give your truck an upgraded look with the addition of a truck bed cover but are unsure of the benefits of them. Roll up and hard truck bed covers offer more than just aesthetic appeal. When installed, truck bed covers protect your cargo from rain, wind, snow or whatever elements come your way. They also provide a level of security as your precious cargo is safely covered and out of plain sight from unwanted thieves. Another huge benefit of truck bed covers that people fail to realize is they improve gas mileage! The sleek, low-profile and aerodynamic designs create less air drag, resulting in better gas mileage.

WeatherTech offers two different styles of truck bed covers for your truck: Roll Up Pickup Truck Bed Cover and AlloyCover Hard Tri-Fold Truck Bed Cover. Both provide excellent protection when it comes to security and fighting against the elements, but in the end it all comes down to personal preference.

Roll Up Pickup Truck Bed Cover:

The custom-fit WeatherTech Roll Up Pickup Truck Bed Cover is made from a double-coated commercial grade reinforced vinyl and features a heavy-duty water-resistant design that protects cargo from tough weather. It also includes an AutoLatch II automatic dual locking system that provides excellent security. This retractable tonneau cover was designed to help reduce aerodynamic drag and increase gas mileage, making it the perfect addition to your pickup truck. The attractive, low-profile design provides a sleek addition to your truck. With the cover only one inch above the truck bed, it does not take away from the attractive appearance of your vehicle.

The Roll Up Truck Bed Cover is great for hauling various items as it keeps cargo away from the elements when covered and stays out of the way when rolled up for oversized cargo. Installation is easy, and using the Tight-Bite clamp system, there's no need to drill into your truck's bed. The cover's tension can be quickly adjusted using an XT-Dial that provides easy control; no tools needed.

The WeatherTech AlloyCover is a lightweight foldable hard truck bed cover for those looking to maximize security and durability without compromising style and aerodynamically-friendly qualities. This low-profile hard truck bed cover features an easy-to-use tri-fold design, which makes for effortless installation and removal. Sitting less than half an inch above the truck bed and incorporating a textured matte black finish, the cover blends in with your truck's OEM bed caps to provide a sleek, consistent look. The AlloyCover is carefully designed to reduce unwanted vibrations and excessive noises commonly found in most bed covers by incorporating flexible rubber seals, vinyl-coated hinges and reducing metal-on-metal contact. In return, it’s a nice, quiet ride up front for you.

The Alloycover also features the AutoLatch II latching system that when paired with a locked tailgate provides excellent security. To further protect your cargo from unwanted access or vulnerabilities, the bed cover incorporates strong aluminum panels with durable, watertight, reinforced vinyl-coated hinges. Each panel is made from aluminum alloy commonly found in commercial trailers. Extruded aluminum channels support the panels to hold up to 400 pounds of evenly distributed weight, while weighing approximately 50 pounds for a high strength-to-weight ratio.

The water-shedding design and waterproof, reinforced vinyl-coated hinges route water away from the bed without gutters or drains. The hard truck bed cover overlaps the bed rails with a continuous seal along the entire length of the side rails, preventing elements from entering the truck bed.
