How to Clean your WeatherTech Floor Mats and Floor Liners

After another season of messy weather, it’s time to give your floor mats and floor liners the cleaning they deserve. Here's how to quickly and easily clean your WeatherTech Floor Mats, FloorLiners, FloorLiner HP, All-Weather Floor Mats, or Trim-To-Fit Floor Mats.

Step 1: Clean Your Floor Mats

Remove the floor mats from your vehicle and rinse them with fresh water. If an outdoor hose is not available, you can also use a bathtub. Once you’ve rinsed all the loose dirt away, we recommend using our specially formulated TechCare® FloorLiner and FloorMat Cleaner to give your mats the deepest clean possible. The best way to clean your floor mats—TechCare FloorLiner and FloorMat Cleaner is a custom engineered and biodegradable foaming cleanser that easily removes scuff marks, dirt and stains.

If you don’t have any FloorLiner and FloorMat Cleaner, you can alternatively use any mild detergent and warm water. Apply the cleanser of your choice to the entire surface area and, for the best results, scrub your mats with a medium bristle brush. Rinse with fresh water and allow to dry.

Step 2: Protect and Condition Your Floor Mats

Once your WeatherTech floor mats are clean and dry, conditioning them can keep them looking brand new. TechCare FloorLiner and FloorMat Protector gives your floor mats a strong and durable anti-slip finish and resists staining and everyday wear. Just spray TechCare FloorLiner & FloorMat Protector lightly over the entire mat. Then, with a damp sponge, spread the product over the entire mat and allow the product to dry.

Whether the result of a long and snowy winter or muddy spring/summer, your mats can be put through a lot. With the right products, cleanup is simple and painless.
