Good protection, easy install

Name: William Snively
Vehicle: 2007 Toyota Sequoia

Weathertech is making their own product so I was anxious to try. Purchased an 07 Sequoia that needed replacement headlights due to excessive fogging that was too much for me to repair, thought now would be a great time to try the new product on fresh lenses. Film was easy to install and seems every bit as good as the past kits I have used from WT in the past. Fitment was spot on for the Sequoia, couldn't have been any better. Thickness seems to be the perfect size, not too thin to lack protection and no too thick to make install difficult. Curved surfaces can always use the help of a heat gun or hair dryer to aid adhesion to the contours, something not mentioned in instructions. I used the WT fluid kit with install, definitely needed if you're a newbie to protection film install. All in all, I'm happy with the kit, would recommend to anyone that may be on the fence about purchasing!!

Installed in 2007 and 12 years later, headlights like new

I bought and installed these on my new (at the time) 2007 Infiniti G35S that I still own (85K miles later) and the headlights are still like new. Compound curves are tough to install, but with the thickness, it is highly unlikely your headlight will ever shatter. I also installed these on my 2005 Sequoia (much easier install than my G35 above) when I bought it in 2008. While rocks on Highway 80 have destroyed/broken two windshields on my way up to Tahoe over the past 11 years and 80K miles, my headlights and fog lights still look like new...

Very easy to install by yourself

Vehicle: 2018 Ford Edge

I installed these today by myself with no problem. I have had my Edge for only 2 weeks so the headlights were not dirty and I used Windex and a fiber cloth to clean them before starting. I had no baby shampoo in the house so I used our Ecos natural laundry soap due to the mild properties. I was able to remove almost all the air bubbles with my fingers then used the squeegee to remove the soapy solution. There's a little movement of the film when using the squeegee but you can use your fingers to move it back into place. There was very little clouding of the lens when I finished and 7 hours after I installed them they are almost clear. I never heated the lens when applying. Take your time and you'll have no problem with the installation.

Great Product. Great Protection.

LampGard Headlight Protection offers exceptional protection for your headlamps. We bought mew headlamps because the original ones yellowed and became hazy so badly. It is important to read the instructions first before attempting to apply the product and to be carefully around the curves of your lamps. They will look a little hazy for two weeks or so but they will cleared up. We are very satisfied with the results and will be purchasing this product for our other car.

Amazing Product

The LampGard Headlight Protection is the very best product one can imagine. As many agree, need to follow the installation instruction for a best result especially on the curves and contour of the headlight. It was a little cloudy at first but after a while it became CRYSTAL CLEAR. Very much pleased with the product. DON’T MISS IT!!!

Great product

Totally worth it, i work in the auto bodyshop industry and i know how expensive it is to replace or even try to repair faded yellow headlights. I highly recomend you buy the lampgard kit and avoid future costly repair or replace of your headlights.

Unexpectedly Impressed

Name: Brian Kamens
Vehicle: 2015 Nissan Pathfinder

I bought the lampguard headlight protection to protect my headlights from bugs and small stones. When I received the kit, I was a bit skeptical as I was initially intimidated with the steps. Although, very few and seemingly simple, I was immediately concered about being able to curve the protector over and around the headlight. Once installed, I was concerned about all of the moisture trapped under the material. About a week later, I was blown away about how crystal clear they have become. After seeing the results, I am also impressed with how forgiving it was as I had to re-position the first one a few times during installation as I got the hang of it. I highly recommend this product.

Quality Product. Don't Install Alone.

Name: William Ober
Vehicle: 2015 Nissan Murano

This is a quality product and I do recommend it. But if you have a curved and/or intricate design on your headlight like my 2015 Nissan Murano do not attempt installation alone. You will need a helper. I have previous experience with window film and the carbon fiber film so I tried to install it by myself and one headlight came out really bad and the other was a total loss. The film is very thick and hard to work with if you can't keep it heated. You can't keep the product and your fingers wet with solution, heat the material, and work the material alone. Don't try it! Get a helper!

Hello, About a year ago I ordered the WeatherTech Lampguard kit for my 2001 Toyota Tacoma. The ad made them sound great, so I placed an order. When they arrived I was skeptical that these things would really do much good, or that they would actually fit the light assemblies nicely. I threw the package on a shelf and figured that I had wasted some forty dollars, and that I should have known better anyway. Recently, when I needed something to do, I decided that I would install them and take my chances. Boy was I wrong! These things softened right up with a little heat, they stuck and moulded right on to fit like a glove! They were a little cloudy at first but, as you promised, they have become crystal clear. I can see how the Lampguards offer increased strength and protection to my plastic lenses. This note is just to say Thanks for supplying a good product! I am a happy customer! Kelly Hudgens

I installed a set on my truck at 35,000 miles. I now have over 250,000 and the bezels are as clear as the first day! I lve near Josua Tree and we get blowing sand that pits windows, paint, everything, but no issues with my bezels. I recommend these to everyone that is interested. Thanks.

Headlamp Protection Tip

First, they were cut perfectly but they are thick - nothing like those screen protectors for phones, iPads, etc. The instructions did state that a hairdryer might be helpful, and I am saying that a hairdryer is crucial. When you apply the protector film, get a hairdryer and have it ready. When you get to a spot that you simply cannot wipe the air bubble out, get the hairdryer, warm that spot and guide the bubble toward the edge. Works like a charm. I was so impressed with the protector that I have already ordered a set for my truck. My car had four pieces (running lights and headlamps) and all were precision-cut to fit like a glove. Very good, thick product. I have already been through the car wash several times without incident.

Crystal clear

I ordered these headlight covers for a Mazda I prepped for shipment to Alaska. The headlights were in poor shape with foggy lenses. I polished both. One cleared up beautifully, but the other was still a little hazy no matter what i tried. Since I had already received the covers, I decided to go ahead and install them despite the hazy lens. I was delighted to find that somehow the covers made the light haze on the one troublesome lens disappear. Both headlights came out crystal clear. Some air bubbles were trapped under the covers after installation. But, after a month, All the tiny bubbles disappeared. I am very pleased with these covers. I used similar ones when I lived in Alaska and they still looked very good after ten years use. Highly recommended. KL

Last year I bought lamp gards for the Acura TSX. I was so pleased with the protection the lamp gards provided the headlight glass that in 2009 I ordered lamp gards for the Honda S2000. Further, the lamp gard film on the TSX fog lights hasn't melted or turned brown from the heat of the fogs. Users of other maker's film have had melt and browning. Weathertech is quality.

I've had LampGard's on my MDX since 2001. I've replaced 3 windshields in that time, but not one headlamp lens. They're still clear and look great after 195,000 miles and 8 years.

Your LampGards are simply fantastic! I have now put them on 7 different cars including my son's, two daughter's and a son's-in-laws cars. My new car came with dealer applied invisible bra over the headlights and after a few years the lens coverings were very yellow and foggy looking. Last week I painstakingly took off the old covernings and applied your LampGards. My headlights look perfectly clear and shiny again. The interesting part is that I also put your LampGards on my wife's X5 about 7 years ago (before I even bought my 2002 530i with the factory coverings). Your LampGards look as good on her X5 today as the day I put them on over 150,000 miles ago!

You made ordering a cargo liner so easy, that I ordered the clear plastic headlight covers. The directions for their application was "right on". The orders were shipped promptly and exactly what I wanted. I will tell my friends about your superior service. Thank you.

I love the concept of this product since we have such a problem with gravel on the roads here in the winter time. The fog light covers went on without any problems. But the head lights were another issue. We struggled with the first one, especially when we got to the outside edges. My 2008 Tacoma has very contoured headlight covers. The second lamp cover went on perfectly. It’s been a couple of weeks now and both are starting to bubble up on the outside edges. I’m leaving them on for now because even with the creases along the edges, they are better than nothing. I’m waiting to put them on my wife’s new 4 Runner though. All the other Weather Tech products we have are exceptional.

I first purchased these for my 2004 f-150 that I least for 3 years. In this mountain climate rocks and gravel wreak havoc on windshields and headlight lenses. After 3 years on my track the bumper and leading edge of the hood were heavily pitted, but the lens covers still look new and crystal clear! so I bought them for my '07 outback. Now, the Outback has a much more complex headlight design and I found that getting the cover positioned correctly a major challenge. The key to a successful install is using the solution method and proper heat and working your way from one side to the other, while carefully removing the small air pockets as you go. Mine took about 30 mins each to get right, but now they are invisible!

Its been 9 days since I installed the lampgards. The ones for fog lights are okay but the headlights still is cloudy. Maybe because its still winter, I will wait a while. This is best installed during summer but I could not wait till then, I want my lights protected. I suggest weathertech includes instructions on removing the lampgards if it remains cloudy. By the way, I tried using hair dryer and it did not work.
