Crates and Kennels

Dog Crates are a great safe and secure space for your dog to be comfortable and have their own haven while you are either away from home or at bed-time. They are commonly used for housetraining puppies, but even adult dogs enjoy their own "house." Be sure to check out this dog crate buying guide to find the right size for your pup!

Grooming Supplies

Dog grooming may look a bit different for every dog, but it is important to have the best brush for your dog’s fur type.

Brushes

Slicker Dog Brush - This dog brush is perfect for loosening up some of that downy hair or gently detangling fine hair either all over their body or in tight spots like the behind the ears and their armpits. This brush is great for almost any dog with medium to long hair that can mat easily or shed a lot.

Deshedding Brushes and Tools - Certain breeds have very thick, downy fur that can clump up in their coat and shed like crazy! Brushes like the Furminator and a Grooming Rake are great for loosening up the undercoat to help remove any excess dog hair. It is important to be very cautious with these two brushes as you can scratch their skin if you are brushing too hard or for too long in one spot. Any local grooming salon or pet store can show you how to properly use these tools. Dogs these brushes were made for are Huskies, Corgis, and German Shepards.

Zoom Groom - This is by far the best brush for nearly all dogs, but is great for short, wiry and/or fine haired dogs because the brushes above may not work properly. It attracts the hair like a magnet and can be used while their coat is dry or wet. It also has a VERY low risk of causing any harm to your dog’s skin thanks to the rubber cones. 14/10 Perfect for all dogs.

Dog Toys

Finally, we saved the best for last! Choosing the right toy for your dog can depend on their age and play type. Some dogs enjoy the chase of a tennis ball while others thrive on finding the squeaker in stuffed animals. Having a variety of dog toys around prevents boredom as well as keeps your personal items less interesting (no one likes a sock thief). Getting a monthly toy box like BarkBox or BULLYMAKE delivered directly to your pup is the perfect way to figure out what kind of toys they like the most!
